Our most unique feature here at the 1875 Inn is our guest rooms. Each one is
named and decorated appropriately after a prominent figure who has been a part
of the Tilton community or a historic figure who's travels brought them to the
Inn at Tilton.

Charles E Tilton Room:
Wealthy founder of the town of Tilton. He is also responsible for many
of the beautiful and historic sights throughout the town of Tilton.

Captain Jack Crawford:
Named after the Civil War hero.

Jim Dodge:
Local historian, restauranteur, and politician, he has added
color and history to the area around Tilton.

Samuel Sanborn:
Built a house on Sanborn Road in the early 1800s. One of that 1875 Inn owner Joanna's house on Sanborn road in the early 1800s

Mary Baker Eddy &Abigail. Baker Tilton Suite:
Mary Baker Eddy, well known Evangelist, Healer and founder of the First
Church of Christian Science. Her and her sister shared their childhood in Sanbornton Bridge (Tilton).

Harold Harbour:
Politician and local fire chief for over 60 years, named.
This room was unnamed until the Inns open house where visitors voted on the
name. Fire Chief Harold Harbour won the vote.

William Lawrence:
Opened the first hardware store In Tilton in the 1800s on main street and it's still open today;
"Bryant and Lawrence Hardware"

Henry Ford Room:
Henry Ford, along with his friend Thomas Edison, took many trips to Tilton looking for new experiences.
