Downtown Tilton

The 1875 Inn at Tilton is located right in the heart of downtown Tilton. The 1875 Inn as you see it above was originally three separate business's. The left most portion of the Inn was a barber shop owned by George Nelson circa 1870, the central portion was the Jordon Rooming house circa 1880 and the right portion was the Moulton Photography studio, it was here in this studio that many of the earliest photographs of New Hampshire were developed. While visiting Tilton you can stop by our many quaint privately owned specialty shops and see many of downtown Tilton's sights such as the Tilton Arch, the 1879 Town Hall, The Iron Bridge, historic statues and much more. Just down the road from downtown Tilton is the Lakes Region Factory Stores, featuring over 60 Great TAX FREE stores. See below for a complete list of what is in the Tilton area.
